Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Landscape Architect to join our team. In this fully remote role, you will lead the design and implementation of innovative landscape solutions that enhance both aesthetic and functional elements of outdoor spaces, while considering environmental sustainability and ecological integrity.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive landscape designs from concept through to execution, integrating client needs and regulatory requirements
- Conduct site analysis and assess environmental conditions to inform design decisions
- Create detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including urban planners, architects, and engineers, to ensure cohesive project execution
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful project delivery
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to present design proposals and incorporate feedback effectively
- Stay updated with current trends, technologies, and regulations in landscape architecture and environmental design
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in landscape design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse project types
- Proficiency in CAD software and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
- Strong understanding of horticulture, plant selection, and sustainable design practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred:
- Licensure as a Landscape Architect (or in progress)
- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino)
- Knowledge of local zoning laws and environmental regulations
- Familiarity with landscape construction methods and materials
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD and GIS applications
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello)
- Knowledge of environmental restoration and conservation techniques
