Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Landscape Manager to oversee and enhance our landscape design, maintenance, and sustainability initiatives. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in horticulture and landscape architecture to create and maintain beautiful, functional outdoor spaces that align with our company's vision and environmental values.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement landscape management plans that meet aesthetic and functional requirements while promoting biodiversity and sustainability.
- Manage a team of landscape professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality project execution.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions, soil quality, and plant health, making recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate landscape design with overall project goals.
- Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and contract negotiations with vendors and contractors.
- Monitor and report on the progress of landscape projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and environmental regulations to inform decision-making.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in landscape management, design, or maintenance, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, pest management, and sustainable landscape practices.
- Experience in team leadership, project management, and budget oversight.
Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized landscape association (e.g., Landscape Industry Certified, Certified Arborist).
- Experience with landscape design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) and project management tools.
- Familiarity with local environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in landscape design principles and sustainable horticultural practices.
- Strong analytical skills for site assessments and project evaluations.
- Experience with GIS technology and landscape management software.
