Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Labor Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the labor relations function by assisting with various administrative tasks, conducting research, and providing analytical support to help ensure effective communication and collaboration between management and employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of labor relations materials, including reports, presentations, and documentation for negotiations and grievances
- Conduct research on labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to inform policy recommendations and strategies
- Support the development and implementation of labor relations initiatives and programs
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders, taking notes and providing follow-up support as needed
- Help maintain accurate records and databases related to labor relations activities
- Engage in data analysis to identify trends and insights that inform labor relations strategies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in human resources, labor relations, or a similar administrative role
- Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with labor relations databases or HR information systems
- Familiarity with collective bargaining processes and grievance procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools
- Knowledge of HR software and employee management systems
