Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead our jet engine assembly team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily assembly operations, ensuring compliance with production schedules and quality standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of assembly technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address any technical issues that arise during the assembly process
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track assembly efficiency and quality metrics
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure a safe working environment for all assembly staff
- Develop and maintain assembly documentation, work instructions, and training materials
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace assembly, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of jet engine assembly processes and aerospace manufacturing standards
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with quality management systems and aerospace certifications (e.g., AS9100)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using assembly tools and equipment specific to jet engine manufacturing
- Knowledge of CAD software and technical drawings
- Experience with ERP systems to manage production workflows
