Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Jet Engine Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of jet engines, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and high-quality standards. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, managing workflow, and implementing best practices in engine maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of jet engines to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate with engineering teams to implement modifications and upgrades to jet engines
- Manage maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of all tasks to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports for management
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in jet engine maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Strong knowledge of jet engine systems and maintenance practices
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with specific engine types such as Pratt & Whitney or General Electric
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance software and compliance tracking systems
