Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Engine Assembly Supervisor to lead and supervise our assembly operations in a fast-paced and innovative environment. This role involves ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety while driving efficiency and productivity within the assembly teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the aircraft engine assembly line, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of assembly technicians while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
- Implement best practices in assembly processes to enhance workflow and minimize downtime
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot assembly line issues and optimize production processes
- Monitor and report on production metrics, providing insights for strategy adjustments and resource allocation
- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure team members are up-to-date with the latest assembly techniques and safety protocols
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft engine assembly or related fields, with a proven track record of leadership
- Strong knowledge of assembly processes, quality assurance measures, and safety regulations in the aerospace industry
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a diverse team
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Technology, or related field
- Certifications in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with aircraft engine specifications and assembly requirements
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using assembly tools and equipment, including torque wrenches, precision measuring instruments, and inspection tools
- Knowledge of CAD software for understanding assembly schematics and designs
- Experience with ERP systems for tracking production schedules and inventory management
