Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisor of Irradiated Fuel Handling to oversee the safe and efficient management of irradiated fuel materials within our facility. In this critical role, you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards while leading a dedicated team in executing safe handling, storage, and transportation of irradiated fuel.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of fuel handling technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency.
- Supervise the handling, storage, and transportation of irradiated fuel, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
- Develop and implement operational procedures for irradiated fuel handling and emergency response scenarios.
- Conduct regular training sessions and drills to ensure team readiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and safety departments to assess and mitigate risks associated with irradiated fuel handling.
- Monitor operations and maintain accurate records of irradiated fuel inventories and handling activities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in nuclear facility operations, with a focus on irradiated fuel handling.
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to irradiated fuel.
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory role within a nuclear facility.
- Advanced certifications in radiation protection or nuclear operations.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in radiation detection and monitoring technologies.
