Responsibilities

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, Radiation Protection, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in radiation protection or health physics, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing radiation safety and environmental protection.
- Experience conducting radiation surveys and assessments, as well as familiarity with radiation monitoring equipment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on fostering a culture of safety.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certification by the American Board of Health Physics or equivalent.
- Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated environments.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of radiation detection and measurement instruments.
- Knowledge of computer-based radiation safety management systems and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and compliance management software.
