Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven ETL Manager to lead our data pipeline development and management efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes that deliver high-quality data to our analytics teams. Your leadership will be crucial in establishing best practices for data integration and ensuring that our data architecture supports robust business intelligence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable ETL processes that meet the evolving data needs of the organization
- Lead a team of data engineers and analysts, providing mentorship and guidance to promote professional growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and establish data governance policies
- Evaluate and introduce new ETL tools and technologies to enhance data processing efficiency
- Monitor and optimize ETL performance, ensuring timely delivery of data to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data models, and workflows
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and reliability
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL management, with a focus on large-scale data integration projects
- Proven track record leading teams in designing and implementing ETL workflows using tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Apache NiFi
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and data lake architectures
- Experience with SQL and other data querying languages
- Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Factory)
Preferred:
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java for data manipulation
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and their integration with ETL processes
- Exposure to machine learning concepts and how they can enhance data processing
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in ETL tools and data integration frameworks
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems
- Experience with cloud data platforms and services
- Understanding of data governance and security best practices
