Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Datastage Architect to join our data engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and implementation of robust data integration solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage, ensuring data is accurately ingested, transformed, and made available for analytics and reporting. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping our data architecture to support scalable and performant data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop complex ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage, adhering to best practices in data integration and transformation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Optimize existing ETL processes for performance and reliability, employing advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues.
- Design data models and define data quality standards to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout data pipelines.
- Mentor junior data engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and integration, recommending improvements to enhance our data capabilities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture and ETL development, specifically with IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and dimensional data design.
- Proficient in SQL and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
- Experience with performance tuning of ETL jobs and optimization of data pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex data integration challenges.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality management practices.
- Knowledge of additional ETL tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, Spark) is a plus.

- Expertise in IBM InfoSphere DataStage and related ETL tools.
