Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee and optimize our facilities maintenance operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards, directly impacting the efficiency of our operations and the well-being of our team members. You will implement strategic maintenance programs, manage vendor relationships, and lead a remote team to uphold our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive facility maintenance programs that ensure optimal performance and reliability of all building systems
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance tasks across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Manage vendor contracts and relationships to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effective solutions
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
- Lead and mentor a remote team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze maintenance operations and identify opportunities for efficiency gains
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenditures, and compliance documentation
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance management, including remote team leadership
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools
Preferred:
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA Certified Facility Manager)
- Experience in a fast-paced, remote work environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience with energy management systems and sustainability practices
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
