Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of our facilities. This role is critical in ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and aligned with our brand values. You will lead a team of skilled maintenance professionals, implement preventive maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and enhance operational efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment, identifying areas for improvement and necessary repairs
- Manage vendor relationships for outsourced maintenance services and ensure compliance with service agreements
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Act as the main point of contact for facility-related issues and work collaboratively with other departments to resolve them
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair
- Experience in developing and managing a preventive maintenance program
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
Preferred:
- Certification in facilities management or maintenance (e.g., CFM, CPM, or similar)
- Experience with budget management and cost analysis
- Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management practices
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules
- Knowledge of technical drawings and blueprints
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management tools
