Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations across our facilities. In this role, you will ensure that all facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with relevant regulations, while also developing and implementing maintenance strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the facilities maintenance program, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure the integrity of building systems.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted maintenance services to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenditures and forecasting future maintenance needs.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of facility assets.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and respond promptly to facility-related issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across all facilities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and control maintenance costs effectively.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing staff capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Preferred:
- Experience in a multi-site facilities management role.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Certification in facilities management or related fields (e.g., IFMA, BOMA).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in building management systems and maintenance tracking software.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Experience with energy management systems and sustainability initiatives.
