Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Industrial Hygiene to lead our comprehensive industrial hygiene program at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the industrial hygiene program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Develop and implement risk assessment processes to identify potential hazards in the workplace
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives aimed at reducing workplace exposure to harmful agents
- Provide expert guidance on the selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conduct training and educational programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of industrial hygiene practices
- Establish metrics and reporting systems to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of industrial hygiene programs
- Manage and mentor a team of industrial hygiene professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in industrial hygiene or occupational health
- Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and industry best practices
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful industrial hygiene strategies
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a large organization
- Familiarity with environmental health and safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in industrial hygiene sampling and analytical methodologies
- Proficient in using industrial hygiene monitoring equipment and software
- Experience with data analysis tools and risk assessment software
