Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Hydrometer Calibrator to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in hydrometer calibration and quality assurance to ensure the precision and reliability of our measurement instruments. You will lead initiatives to enhance calibration processes and mentor junior calibrators, fostering a culture of excellence within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the calibration of hydrometers and related measurement instruments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.
- Develop and refine calibration procedures, protocols, and documentation to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and troubleshooting of calibration equipment and methodologies, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Lead training sessions for junior staff, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to perform calibrations and quality checks effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development initiatives and ensure alignment with calibration standards.
- Analyze calibration data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to management.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, physics, metrology) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in hydrometer calibration or related measurement technology.
- Strong understanding of calibration standards and quality control processes.
- Proven experience leading calibration projects and mentoring junior team members.
Preferred:
- Advanced certifications in metrology or calibration.
- Experience with automated calibration systems and software.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the context of measurement and calibration.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in calibration techniques for hydrometers and related measurement devices.
