Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Calibration Manager to oversee our calibration processes and ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement equipment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement calibration procedures and standards in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Manage the calibration schedule for all measurement equipment, ensuring timely and accurate calibrations.
- Lead a team of calibration technicians, providing training and mentorship to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- Conduct audits and inspections of calibration processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of calibration activities and prepare reports for management review.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, metrology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in calibration management or a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of measurement principles and calibration techniques.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex calibration projects.
Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized calibration authority (e.g., ISO 17025).
- Experience with statistical quality control methods and software.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using calibration software and data management systems.
- Experience with a variety of measurement instruments, including electrical, mechanical, and dimensional tools.
