Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Junior HSE Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in promoting and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices across our operations. You will support the implementation of HSE policies and contribute to fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures to comply with local regulations and industry standards
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE practices
- Support incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution
- Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, and training materials
- Engage with employees and contractors to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
- Basic understanding of HSE regulations and standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred:
- Internship or co-op experience in HSE or related field
- Familiarity with HSE management systems and reporting tools
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting software
- Basic knowledge of environmental management tools and safety assessment methods

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
