Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Facilities Manager to oversee our organizational facilities and ensure optimal operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive facility management strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate space planning and office layout strategies to optimize the use of space and enhance employee experience.
- Lead sustainability initiatives within facilities management to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial objectives.
- Act as a point of contact for facility-related inquiries, providing exceptional support to staff and stakeholders.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field, with a proven track record of successful leadership.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and health and safety regulations.
- Exceptional project management skills, with experience in budgeting and contract negotiation.
- Proven ability to develop and implement facility management processes and strategies.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM, FMP) is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in facilities management software and tools for scheduling, reporting, and maintenance tracking.
- Familiarity with project management software and methodologies.
- Understanding of sustainability practices and LEED certification processes.
