Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Maintenance to lead our maintenance operations, ensuring the highest levels of service and efficiency across our facilities. In this fully remote role, you will oversee the development and execution of maintenance strategies that align with our organizational goals, while driving innovation and best practices within the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies that optimize reliability and performance of all facilities.
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular assessments of maintenance processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of maintenance activities with operational objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Manage budgets and resource allocation for maintenance operations, ensuring efficient use of funds and personnel.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance effectiveness and report outcomes to executive leadership.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance management or a related field, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing and executing maintenance plans that drive performance improvements and cost reductions.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or Reliability Maintenance Management (RMM).
- Experience with implementing predictive maintenance technologies and data-driven decision-making.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in maintenance management software (CMMS) and asset management systems.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
