Role Overview
The Department of Forest Resources is seeking an accomplished academic leader to fill the prestigious position of Endowed Chair in Forest Resources. This role is integral to advancing our mission of promoting sustainable forest management and enhancing the ecological and economic value of forest ecosystems. Responsibilities

- Foster interdisciplinary collaborations with faculty, industry partners, and governmental agencies to address complex forest management challenges.
- Mentor and guide graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, instilling a culture of academic excellence and integrity.
- Engage in community outreach and extension activities that promote sustainable forestry practices.
- Contribute to the development of academic programs that prepare the next generation of forest resource professionals.
- Secure external funding through grants and partnerships to support research initiatives.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in research, evidenced by a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Significant experience in securing competitive research funding and managing research projects.
- Proven track record of effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Preferred:
- Established network within the forestry and natural resources community.
- Experience in policy development and advocacy related to forest management.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
