Role Overview
We are seeking a distinguished and innovative academic leader for the position of Endowed Chair in Forest Management. This role is pivotal in advancing research, education, and outreach programs focused on sustainable forest management practices and policies that address contemporary environmental challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct cutting-edge research in forest management, focusing on sustainable practices, ecosystem health, and biodiversity conservation.

- Secure funding through grants and partnerships to support research initiatives and educational programs.
- Engage in community outreach and service to promote awareness and understanding of sustainable forest management practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated record of significant scholarly contributions and leadership in the field of forest management.
- Experience in developing and leading interdisciplinary research programs and securing external funding.
- Strong commitment to teaching excellence and student mentorship.
Preferred:
- Experience with international forest management issues and global sustainability challenges.
- Proven track record of collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including governmental, non-profit, and private sector entities.
- Prior experience in program development and administration in higher education.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies related to forest management.
