Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our fleet operations. This role is critical in ensuring that our fleet is operated efficiently, maintained properly, and aligned with our sustainability and operational goals. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the fleet, driving performance improvements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives
- Oversee vehicle acquisition, utilization, and disposal processes to maximize ROI
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Monitor fleet performance metrics, analyze data, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure high-quality services and products
- Lead a team of fleet professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure operational excellence
- Develop and manage the fleet budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field
- Experience with fleet management software and telematics systems
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in fleet management
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in fleet management software and related tools
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools
- Understanding of vehicle maintenance management systems
