Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Logistics to lead our logistics and supply chain operations. This role is critical in optimizing our logistics processes, ensuring timely delivery of products, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee the entire logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and customer service, to optimize the supply chain and resolve any operational issues.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and implement data-driven improvements to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Monitor industry trends and innovations in logistics and supply chain management to drive competitive advantage.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in logistics optimization, transportation management, and inventory control methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions that enhance operational performance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred:
- Experience in managing logistics operations for a high-growth organization.
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in logistics software and technologies, including TMS and WMS systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and industry best practices.
- Experience with data analysis tools and software to monitor and improve logistics performance.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to transportation and logistics.
