Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of vehicles. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and cost-effectiveness in fleet management. You will lead a team of technicians and work closely with other departments to optimize fleet performance and reduce downtime.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure vehicles are serviced per manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Manage daily operations of the maintenance department, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement to manage parts inventory and ensure timely availability of necessary components.
- Analyze fleet performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations related to vehicle maintenance and safety.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or vehicle maintenance, with a proven track record of managing a maintenance team.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and leverage insights for strategic decision-making.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred:
- Experience with fleet management software and maintenance tracking systems.
- ASE certifications related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management within a fleet environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using fleet management and maintenance software tools.
- Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Experience with electronic maintenance records and reporting systems.

Location
