Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Preservation Caseworker to join our team. In this fully remote role, you will play a crucial part in supporting families in crisis, providing them with the necessary resources and interventions to maintain family unity and enhance their overall well-being. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of fostering safe and nurturing environments for children and families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of families to identify strengths, needs, and potential risks.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans that promote family preservation and stability.
- Provide ongoing support and counseling to families, utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions.
- Collaborate with community resources, service providers, and stakeholders to connect families with essential services.
- Monitor family progress and adjust service plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
- Document case notes and maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices for family preservation services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in case management or direct service with families in crisis.
- Strong understanding of family dynamics, child development, and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in using electronic case management systems and documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience working with community-based organizations and resources.
- Knowledge of local and state child welfare policies and regulations.
- Certification in family preservation or related areas.
