Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and strategic Family Advocacy Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead initiatives to promote family well-being and ensure that the needs of families are voiced and met within our organization. Your expertise will drive the development and implementation of advocacy programs that empower families and create meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute advocacy strategies that align with organizational goals and family needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that family perspectives are integrated into policy and program development
- Lead outreach efforts to engage families and gather feedback to inform advocacy initiatives
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate staff and stakeholders on family advocacy best practices
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy programs, utilizing data-driven insights to drive improvements
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to expand advocacy efforts
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in family advocacy, social work, or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful advocacy programs
- Strong understanding of family dynamics and the challenges faced by diverse family structures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire various stakeholders
- Experience in data analysis and program evaluation to assess advocacy effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Public Policy, or a related field
- Experience working with government agencies and community organizations
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and policies affecting families
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
- Experience with advocacy management systems and CRM software
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data reporting
