Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the operational and strategic aspects of our facilities management. This role is vital for ensuring that our remote work environment is conducive to productivity, safety, and comfort while implementing best practices in facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement facility management strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance overall efficiency
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and operational activities across all facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to manage vendor relationships and service contracts effectively
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Implement and manage facility management software tools for tracking maintenance requests and managing budgets
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high service quality
- Lead sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of our facilities
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance processes, and safety regulations
- Proven ability to manage budgets and implement cost-saving measures
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
Preferred:
- Experience with remote facilities management
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in facility operations
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in facilities management software and tools
- Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
