Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs, providing insights on material selection and process capabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability within the fabrication team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure fabrication efficiency and effectiveness, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Mentor and develop fabrication leaders, enhancing team capabilities and fostering a culture of innovation.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and technologies, including experience with CNC machining, welding, and assembly.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively collaborate with engineering, design, and supply chain departments.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Preferred:
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably within the technology or aerospace sectors.
- Advanced degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with supply chain optimization and inventory management practices.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in manufacturing software and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and design tools.
