Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Fabrication Manager to lead our fabrication operations, ensuring the seamless execution of projects from inception to completion. In this fully remote role, you will leverage your expertise to optimize processes, manage resources effectively, and drive the development of innovative fabrication solutions that align with our mission of excellence in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of fabrication operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiencies, reduce waste, and improve fabrication workflows.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on project goals and specifications.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven insights to make informed decisions that drive operational success.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices in all fabrication processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to lead innovation within the fabrication domain.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fabrication management or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a remote work environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred:
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with CAD software and project management tools.
- Advanced degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in fabrication technologies and techniques, including CNC machining, welding, and assembly.
- Understanding of quality control systems and methodologies.
- Experience with industry-specific software for project management and fabrication planning.
