Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead ER Technician to join our dynamic emergency room team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of ER technicians, providing guidance on clinical protocols and operational procedures
- Coordinate daily activities in the emergency room to ensure seamless patient flow and support clinical staff
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of medical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Assist in triaging patients, conducting initial assessments, and supporting advanced clinical staff in emergency procedures
- Develop and implement training programs for new technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to enhance patient care strategies and emergency response protocols
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience as an ER Technician or in a similar role within a high-pressure medical environment
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong understanding of emergency procedures, patient assessment, and medical terminology
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of team management and process improvement
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical software applications
- Certification as a Certified Emergency Technician (CET) or equivalent
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in emergency medical equipment usage and maintenance
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical documentation practices
