Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Director of Equal Employment Opportunity to lead our efforts in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee diversity and inclusion programs aligned with the company's mission and values, driving a culture of equity and respect.
- Provide expert guidance on equal employment opportunity laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk across the organization.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and leadership to create actionable diversity metrics and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs.
- Design and lead training programs aimed at raising awareness and educating employees about diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices.
- Conduct regular assessments of workplace culture and employee feedback to inform strategic decisions and initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, advocating for best practices and innovative solutions.
- Engage with external organizations, community groups, and stakeholders to promote the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in human resources, diversity and inclusion, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading successful EEO initiatives.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local EEO laws and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive change.
Preferred:
- Experience in a senior leadership role with a focus on diversity and inclusion within a complex organization.
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Certification in diversity and inclusion or human resources-related credentials.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies to track diversity metrics and assess program effectiveness.
- Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and tools for employee engagement and feedback.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies to effectively implement diversity initiatives.
