Role Overview
As the VP of Employee Relations at [$COMPANY_NAME], you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and fostering a culture of engagement, trust, and transparency across the organization. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive employee relations strategies that promote a positive workplace culture and enhance employee engagement
- Oversee the investigation and resolution of employee complaints and grievances, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify trends and areas for improvement in employee engagement and satisfaction
- Lead the development of training programs focused on employee relations best practices, conflict resolution, and effective communication
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations issues and provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary actions
- Monitor and analyze employee feedback and engagement survey results to inform strategy and initiatives
- Represent the organization in labor relations matters, including negotiations and contract administration
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in employee relations, human resources, or a related field, with a strong track record of leadership
- Extensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
- Proven experience in managing complex employee relations issues and implementing effective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a large, complex organization
- Certification in human resources (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) or related field
- Experience in organizational development and change management
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in HRIS and employee engagement software
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive employee relations strategy
- Familiarity with labor relations practices and collective bargaining processes
