Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Employee Benefits to lead the design, implementation, and management of our comprehensive benefits programs. This role will play a critical part in enhancing employee satisfaction and retention by ensuring our benefits offerings are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our organizational values and goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of innovative employee benefits programs, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of our workforce
- Analyze market trends and benchmark data to maintain competitive edge in benefits offerings
- Lead cross-functional teams to assess employee needs and preferences for benefits programs
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to manage benefits budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to employee benefits
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors and providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality
- Develop communication strategies to educate employees about their benefits options and promote utilization
- Evaluate program effectiveness and implement enhancements based on employee feedback and usage data
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in employee benefits management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations, compliance, and best practices
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful benefits programs
- Exceptional analytical skills and experience with benefits benchmarking and market analysis
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role with direct reports
- Certification in employee benefits or human resources (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-SCP)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration technology
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in benefits administration software and HRIS tools
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with employee engagement and wellness program platforms
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
