Role Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable and strategic Benefits Manager to oversee our employee benefits programs. In this fully remote role, you will play a critical part in designing and implementing comprehensive benefits strategies that align with our organizational goals, enhance employee satisfaction, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Conduct benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitive and cost-effective benefits offerings
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define benefits strategy and drive program implementation
- Monitor legislative changes and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Oversee vendor relationships and negotiations to optimize service delivery
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis and employee feedback
- Develop and deliver training sessions to educate employees on benefits programs and changes
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or human resources
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA
- Proven experience in program design, implementation, and project management
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred:
- Professional certifications such as Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar
- Experience with HRIS systems and benefits administration software
- Background in evaluating and implementing wellness programs
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Strong understanding of benefits administration platforms and HRIS
- Familiarity with payroll systems and compliance software
