Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Dragline Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our dragline equipment. This pivotal role encompasses strategic oversight of maintenance activities, resource allocation, and team leadership, ensuring that all operations adhere to safety standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for dragline equipment, ensuring timely and effective repairs and servicing
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules to optimize equipment uptime and performance
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their technical skills and performance
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of dragline equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop solutions for equipment improvements and operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Drive a culture of safety, ensuring all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety protocols and best practices
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision, specifically with dragline or heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of dragline operations, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
Preferred:
- Experience in a mining or heavy industry environment
- Technical certification in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in dragline equipment
- Experience with computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of industry-standard safety practices and compliance regulations
