Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Master Bulldozer Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive experience in heavy machinery to diagnose, repair, and maintain bulldozers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on bulldozers to identify mechanical issues and malfunctions.
- Perform complex repairs and maintenance, including engine overhauls, hydraulic system repairs, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technology to enhance repair efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop and refine maintenance protocols and best practices.
- Document all repair work and maintenance activities in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior mechanics in advanced repair techniques and safety practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience working as a mechanic on heavy machinery, with a specialization in bulldozers.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations related to heavy equipment maintenance.
Preferred:
- Certification in heavy equipment repair or related fields.
- Experience with various bulldozer brands and models, including but not limited to Caterpillar, Komatsu, and John Deere.
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic systems and repair software.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of bulldozers.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, pressure gauges, and electronic diagnostic software.
- Understanding of maintenance management systems (MMS) and inventory control processes.
