We are looking for a highly skilled Diesel Shop Supervisor to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Supervise and mentor a team of diesel technicians, fostering professional development and technical expertise
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of repair work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate timely repairs and maintenance of diesel equipment
- Manage inventory levels, ordering parts and supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency
- Implement and promote best practices in safety and shop protocols, including conducting safety training sessions
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and shop performance metrics
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in diesel mechanics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and repair procedures
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and other departments
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certification in diesel technology or related field
- Experience with fleet maintenance management systems
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and systems
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in diesel repair shops
- Experience with electronic diagnostic tools and software
