We are looking for an experienced Diesel Shop Supervisor to lead and manage our team of skilled diesel technicians at [$COMPANY_NAME]. - Lead training initiatives to enhance technicians' skills and knowledge on the latest diesel technologies and repair techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and labor hours to support efficient operations and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in diesel repair and maintenance, with a strong background in supervising or managing a team.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within a mechanical shop environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Effective communication skills to interact with technicians, management, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in diesel technology or a related field.
- Experience with fleet maintenance management systems and software.
- ASE certification in diesel engines and/or truck systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, repair, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools and equipment used in diesel repair.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as applied to diesel vehicles.
