Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Document and report results accurately, maintaining meticulous records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with advancements in cytotechnology and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) from recognized professional bodies (e.g., ASCP).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex cytological findings.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey findings to medical staff.
Preferred:
- 1-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with advanced cytopathology techniques and digital pathology tools.
- Experience in conducting training for laboratory personnel.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in the use of microscopes and laboratory equipment relevant to cytology.
- Understanding of laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic health records (EHR).
