Role Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist in curating exhibitions, including researching and selecting artworks, and coordinating logistics for installation and de-installation
- Collaborate with artists, collectors, and stakeholders to gather necessary materials and support for exhibitions and programs
- Conduct research on artists and artworks, preparing background information and narratives for exhibition catalogues and public communications
- Support the development of educational programs and outreach initiatives that engage diverse audiences
- Assist in maintaining the collection, including cataloging, condition reporting, and inventory management
- Participate in the planning and execution of public events, lectures, and workshops
- Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts to support curatorial initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a museum or gallery setting, preferably in a curatorial role
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear narratives
- Proficient in using museum collection management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Experience with exhibition design and installation
- Familiarity with contemporary art practices and emerging artists
- Proven ability to engage with the public and conduct educational programming
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Knowledge of collection management software (e.g., PastPerfect, TMS)
- Experience with digital curation tools and social media platforms
- Familiarity with basic graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for promotional materials
