Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Child Care Center Director to lead our fully remote early childhood education program. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our child care center's operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for our children while fostering a culture of excellence among our staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with state standards that promotes children's growth and development
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to create a high-performing team dedicated to early childhood education
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and quality assurance measures
- Engage with parents and guardians to build strong relationships and maintain open lines of communication
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and assessments
- Manage center budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation to ensure sustainability and growth
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture that supports diversity and equity within the learning environment
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in child care management or early childhood education
- Strong understanding of child development principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements
- Proven leadership and staff management skills with a focus on fostering team collaboration
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative educational programs
- Knowledge of early childhood assessment tools and data-driven decision-making
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in administrative software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and child care management systems
- Experience with virtual communication tools and platforms to engage staff and families effectively
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and resources for early childhood education
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with children, families, and staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a knack for multitasking in a fast-paced environment
