Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Child Care Director to lead our innovative child care program. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and care, and fostering an inclusive, nurturing environment for children aged 0-5. Your strategic leadership will drive program development, staff management, and community engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction of the child care center, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements
- Oversee daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and program development, to ensure a safe and enriching environment
- Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of educators, promoting continuous professional development and a collaborative culture
- Implement and evaluate curriculum that meets the developmental needs of children, integrating play-based learning and family engagement
- Establish strong relationships with families and the community, advocating for children's needs and promoting accessibility to services
- Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and ensure all health and safety standards are met
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in child care management or early childhood education
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and state licensing requirements
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in team management
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment tools
- Familiarity with community resources and advocacy for children's services
- Certification in First Aid and CPR
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in child care management software and reporting systems
- Experience with educational technology tools that enhance learning
- Ability to analyze data to inform program improvements and outcomes
