Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Ophthalmic Assistant to join our dedicated team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a high standard of patient care and satisfaction.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an ophthalmic assistant training program is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ophthalmology or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Basic understanding of ocular anatomy and common ocular diseases.
Preferred:
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or equivalent.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Proficiency in assisting with minor surgical procedures.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment such as autorefractors, phoropters, and visual field analyzers.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems.
