Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab Manager to lead our advanced cardiac services team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operations of the catheterization lab, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the implementation of best practices in clinical protocols and safety standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service offerings and drive clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards
- Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other specialists to improve service delivery and patient care pathways
- Monitor and analyze lab performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as necessary to meet quality benchmarks
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of lab equipment and supplies, overseeing inventory management
- Participate in budgeting and financial management for the lab, ensuring optimal resource allocation
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field
- 5+ years of clinical experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or similar setting
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) or relevant clinical certification
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of cardiology procedures and patient care standards
Preferred:
- Master's degree in healthcare administration or a related field
- Certification in cardiac catheterization or interventional cardiology
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in cardiac imaging technologies and catheterization techniques
- Familiarity with quality assurance and performance improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance in healthcare
