Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager to oversee the operational management and clinical services of our state-of-the-art catheterization lab. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, optimizing laboratory workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration among the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the catheterization laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
- Design and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment plans.
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for the catheterization lab.
- Ensure the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to guarantee patient safety and quality of care.
- Monitor clinical data and metrics to evaluate performance and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or similar clinical setting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Current certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Radiologic Technologist (RT), with relevant certifications in cardiovascular technology.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures, equipment, and industry standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop clinical staff effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and data management tools.
- Advanced certification in cardiac catheterization or related specialties.
- Proven track record of implementing quality improvement initiatives in a clinical setting.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in the use of cardiac imaging technologies, including fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and intravascular imaging systems.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems and patient management software.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting clinical data and making informed decisions.
