Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Body Shop Manager to support our operations in delivering exceptional service and quality repairs. In this role, you will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship in our body shop.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the body shop team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Support the Body Shop Manager in implementing operational procedures and policies to enhance productivity and safety.
- Coordinate with customers to provide updates on repair status and address any concerns regarding their vehicles.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and availability.
- Conduct regular quality checks on completed repairs to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in a body shop or automotive repair environment.
- Strong understanding of collision repair processes and standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Familiarity with estimating software and repair management systems.
- ASE certification or equivalent qualifications in automotive repair.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and processes.
- Proficiency in using repair management and estimating software.
- Experience with quality control processes in an automotive setting.
