Responsibilities

- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documentation to prepare detailed quantity take-offs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Utilize advanced estimating software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the estimation process.
- Conduct risk assessments and present findings to stakeholders, highlighting potential cost implications.
- Mentor and train junior estimators, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions to inform pricing strategies and cost management.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project bids.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market pricing.
- Proficiency in estimation software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
Preferred:
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Estimating Professional - CEP) is a plus.
- Experience in a leadership role, guiding teams through complex estimating projects.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation and procurement processes.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis for cost estimation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its application in cost estimation.
