Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Foreman specializing in block laying to lead our team in executing high-quality masonry projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and delivering projects on time while maintaining the highest craftsmanship standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of block laying activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices and techniques in block laying and masonry work.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality and adherence to construction drawings.
- Manage material inventory and coordinate deliveries to ensure seamless workflow on-site.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a Foreman or similar role in masonry/block laying.
- Strong knowledge of block laying techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications in masonry or construction management.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in the use of block laying tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Understanding of building codes and regulations related to masonry work.
