Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Concrete Mason Foreman to lead our construction projects, ensuring the highest quality in masonry work while managing a dedicated team of masons. This role involves overseeing the execution of concrete installations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimizing workflows to meet project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of the masonry team to ensure efficient project execution and adherence to specifications.
- Review project plans and blueprints to determine the scope of work and materials required.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in concrete installation, finishing, and maintenance.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular inspections of work quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and proper usage.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in concrete masonry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, mixing, curing, and finishing techniques.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Preferred:
- Certification in concrete masonry or related construction fields.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in concrete pouring, forming, and finishing techniques.
- Proficient in using masonry tools and equipment, including mixers, trowels, and saws.
- Knowledge of modern construction practices and materials.
