Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Bricklaying Foreman to lead our bricklaying teams on-site at [$COMPANY_LOCATION]. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and efficiency of brickwork in various construction projects, overseeing the work of bricklayers, and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bricklaying teams, ensuring all work meets project specifications and safety standards.
- Review project blueprints and plans to determine work requirements, allocate resources, and establish timelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress, providing guidance and support to team members to maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including project managers and engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Train and mentor junior bricklayers, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices in bricklaying.
- Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered, reporting these to upper management as necessary.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in bricklaying, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Thorough understanding of bricklaying techniques, materials, tools, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans accurately.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage teams effectively.
Preferred:
- Certification in masonry or related field.
- Experience in commercial and residential construction projects.
- Ability to operate construction machinery and equipment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of bricklaying tools, including trowels, levels, and chisels.
- Experience with modern masonry techniques and materials.
- Understanding of construction safety management and OSHA regulations.
